Brandon swimmers rout Flint SW Academy

Brandon’s girls swimming team is learning to develop a winning mentality.
The Blackhawks won two successive Tuesday meets, with their more recent win coming Sept. 27 as the host Blackhawks defeated Flint Southwestern Academy 115-67.
Flint Southwestern Academy actually earned first-place finishes in eight of 12 events, but the Blackhawks? superior depth allowed them to earn second and third place finishes in many events, thus accumulating enough points to get the victory.
In all three events in which Brandon took first place, the Blackhawks also took second and third places in those events.
Kelly Kennedy won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:25.06, with two other Brandon swimmers, Megan Kennedy (2:35.12) and Melissa Swineford (2:36.89), earning second and third place finishes, respectively.
