Brandon softball makes it to title game of invite

The Brandon softball team had a successful weekend at the Tawas Invitational May 15, going 2-1 before being no-hit in the championship game, losing to Hemlock 6-0.
The Blackhawks advanced to the title game by defeating Ogemaw Heights 7-1 and Arenac 7-0. Jill Perry struck out 22 and allowed only four hits in winning the first two games, while Katie Flood had four hits in the invite and drove in three runs.
Brandon returns to action May 24 when they host Lapeer East at 4 p.m.
