Brandon netters? season ends against Lapeer East

The Brandon volleyball team was eliminated in the first round of district action March 5 against eventual district champion Lapeer East.
The Blackhawks dropped a 12-15, 5-15 contest to the Eagles. The Blackhawks hung tough in the first game, and actually led the Eagles 6-0 at one point. However, Lapeer East came back to earn the win.
Offensively, the Blackhawks spread the ball around, with four players earning at least two kills: Jessica Wise, Savannah Stedman, Nicole Bildson, and Mallory Martin.
Stephenie Manning had six kills and two blocks for the Blackhawks, while Brittany Kelley contributed 10 digs.
Brandon coach Kim Rackel said Wise and Meredith Dura did a ‘solid? job of setting things up for their teammates.
Three seniors played their last match for the Blackhawks: Wise, Martin and Nicole Bildson.
