Brandon’s boys tennis team continues to show they’re a force to be reckoned with in Flint Metro League play.
The visiting Blackhawks handily defeated Lapeer East 7-1 in league action April 29, improving to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in Flint Metro competition.
Brandon won three of four singles matches and swept all four doubles matches on their way to the win.
In singles action, Jeremiah DeJose defeated Aaron Wilmers at #1 singles 6-0, 6-3; Jeremy Anger defeated Thomas Truck at #2 singles 6-2, 6-4; and Brian Quarrella defeated Matt Phelps at #3 singles 6-7 (5-7), 6-2, 6-4.
In doubles action, all four Brandon teams won their matches: Aaron Bayliss and Kyle Rascher, at #1 doubles; Chris Nuccio and Garrett Warrilow at #2 doubles; Troy Nuccio and Nick Falzon at #3 doubles; and Steve Sanday and David Hughes at #4 doubles.
The Blackhawks will have a chance to test their mettle against the rest of the Flint Metro teams at the league meet May 11.
