Brandon kickers on winning side in league action

Despite a loss in their most recent contest, the Brandon varsity soccer team currently has a winning mark overall and in league play.
The Martians lost a 3-0 contest against Birmingham Groves on Tuesday, Sept. 19, but three days earlier, they shut out Walled Lake Northern in a Saturday afternoon contest, 2-0.
Sophomore Sam Roberts scored two goals for the Blackhawks, who are now 5-3-1 overall after the Sept. 19 game.
The Blackhawks were also successful in their two most recent forays into Flint Metro League action. The Blackhawks shut out Holly 3-0, as Ryan Morales, Matt Thomas and Andrew Chester each scored a goal apiece.
Two days earlier, Morales and Matt Thomas each scored a goal apiece as the Blackhawks defeated Clio 2-1. The Blackhawks are currently 2-1 in league play.
