Brandon kickers blank pair of opponents

Brandon’s varsity boys soccer team has stonewalled its opponents so far this season.
The Blackhawks shut out two opponents in as many days last week to improve their season mark to 3-0, and their Flint Metro League record to 2-0.
In their most recent game Sept. 7, the Blackhawks defeated Clio 4-0. Brandon led 1-0 at halftime before blowing the game open in the second half.
Junior Kyle Vallier had a hat trick for the Blackhawks, while junior Ryan Morales added Brandon’s other goal. Goalie Jerry Cronk shut out Clio on seven saves.
The Blackhawks won by an identical 4-0 score Sept. 6 against visiting Goodrich. Brandon broke open a scoreless game in the second half with four goals.
Senior Tyler Cole scored two goals for the Blackhawks, while Morales and junior Nick Loeffler added one goal apiece. Junior Matt Thomas assisted on all four Brandon goals, while Cronk made nine saves in net.
