Brandon Twp.-It’s going to get a little tougher to graduate from Brandon High School.
Beginning with the graduating class of 2009 an additional one-half credit of either mathematics, English or language arts will be required to receive a diploma.
‘They basically will need one more course,? said Sue May, assistant superintendent for curriculum and instructional services for Brandon School District. ‘We’re looking at some of the requirements for colleges and made the change. These new high school reforms are being discussed locally and nationally’we also compared our requirement with other area schools.?
Currently Brandon High School students were required to take three credits. Beginning this fall they will enroll in three and one-half credits.
