Brandon administrator named

Beginning July 18, Marian Horowitz will be the new assistant superintendent for curriculum and instructional services for Brandon School District. She will replace Sue May who announced her retirement last month.
For the past five years, Horowitz served as the executive director for curriculum at Tecumseh Public Schools. In addition she coordinated the alternative education, supervised the school libraries and preschool programs.
A Detroit native, Horowitz attended Dearborn High School and later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and Master of Arts degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in English.
‘There are a lot of good things going on in the Brandon District,? said Horowitz.
She plans to relocate to the Auburn Hills area. Horowitz has one daughter, Ann who attends Duquesne Law School in Pittsburgh.
