Brandon’s girls golf team held their own against their fellow Oakland County golfers April 26.
The Blackhawks placed sixth out of 17 teams at the county’s Division II meet at Pontiac Municipal Golf Course, finishing with a score of 392. Birmingham Seaholm won the meet (341), while Oxford took runner-up (366) and Waterford Kettering third (370).
Sophomore Laura Kwiatkowski excelled for the Blackhawks, finishing second among all golfers by shooting a round of 79. Louisa Shu of Seaholm won the event with a round of 75.
Other Brandon competitors were: Becca Scherer (97), Tiffany Harding (105), Casey Nesterowich (111), and Grace Kemeny (126).
