Goodrich’s girls basketball team is back on the winning track with two straight wins.
The visiting Martians came from behind to defeat Bentley 50-43, improving their season record to 12-1 and their Genesee Area Conference Red Division record to 9-1.
Bentley led the Martians 28-24 at halftime, but Goodrich rallied with a 15-6 third quarter surge to take the lead, and held on for the win.
Senior Maribeth Barns and freshman Kortni Elsworth led the Martians with 11 points each.
The Martians also won Oct. 14 when they defeated visiting Atherton 49-47, as Barns hit a layup with six seconds left to give Goodrich the win.
Atherton held a slight 25-23 lead at the half, but Goodrich rallied to take a 43-35 lead at the end of the third quarter, setting up the climactic fourth quarter.
Senior Michelle Elliott led the Martians with 11 points, nine rebounds and six steals, while junior Nykole Pfaff contributed 10 points.
