The Orion Township Public Works Department will pass increases from the City of Detroit and Oakland County for water and sewer rates on to residents. Money for Youth Assistance

The Orion Area Youth Assistance will receive $10,000 on or before Dec. 31 through a 2005 Community Service allocation from the township. The board voted April 4 to sign an agreement with Youth Assistance and authorize the distribution of funds budgeted for 2005.

Clarkston path work to start

A bid has been awarded to Pro-Line Asphalt Paving for repairs and resurfacing of the safety path on Clarkston Road. The path runs from Pine Tree to M-24. The cost of the project is $106,332. Funds will come from the 2005 Safety Path budget.
