CDBG agreement OK

Orion Township will participate in 2006-2008 in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The board authorized the supervisor to sign the letter of intent to send to Oakland County at the May 16 meeting. Every three years the township must sign a cooperation agreement for the program.

Need a recording secretary

Verros? work hours increase

Jill Verros, assistant to Orion Township Supervisor Jerry Dywasuk, will now work 40 hours per week, instead of 24. The township board approved the request on May 16 to increase her work hours, with no benefits, on a temporary basis through Sept. 30 to assist with the 2006 budget preparations.
