Artist hosts home art show

Debbie Johnson, a local watercolor artist, along with several other Michigan artists, is hosting her 4th Annual Home Gallery Show at her home in Oxford next month.
Artwork ranging from paintings, pottery, handmade soaps and lotions, glass art, jewelry and other paper arts will be on display inside and outside her 5620 Hummer Lake Rd.
Johnson handpicks the artists who participate in her two-day show.
The home setting for the show is unique and comfortable for visitors to browse the artwork as they listen to classical music and enjoy tea, coffee and snacks.
‘We try to make it inviting and elegant for the visitors who come to enjoy the artwork, talk directly with the artists, relax and purchase a few early holiday gifts,? Johnson said.
Other artists being featured at the show are Ruth Forman, Deborah Maxwell, Beverly Benson Wolf, Dennis and Lori Kutz, Glenda and Chris Hopp, Hannah Clark and Mary Rios.
Johnson began watercolor painting in 2004 and has been featured at Margot’s Gallery & Frame downtown Oxford.
