Hadley-Hadley is about to get a little bit of Art and Soul.
In conjunction with the upcoming Hadley Harvest Festival, Kelly Smith, owner of Le Fleur Decor, 3442 Hadley Road, will host the Art and Soul Festival in the gardens of her business.
Smith describes the event as an art show with a spiritual twist.
‘We’re going to have artists showcasing works done in metal and iron, clay, pottery, cement sculpture, mosaic and stain glass, burlap and beads, jewelry, raku, watercolor and pastels,? says Smith. ‘And we’ll also have people doing psychic readings, animal energy readings, reiki, reflexology and chair massages. That’s where we’re getting our ‘soul? from.?
Though the business has played host to several art shows in the past, Smith says this will be the inaugural run of the Art and Soul Festival.
Smith got the idea for jazzing up the traditional art show after doing some shows with some of the women involved in the spiritual part of the festival.
In addition to the art and the soul, Smith says there will be face painting and fresh vegetables available.
‘I’m looking forward to having a new mix of people a new mix of artists and artisans,? says Smith. ‘I’m looking forward to having a new group to show off their stuff.?
