Alvin William Herbert, Jr. of Lake Orion, Michigan, formerly of Des Plaines and Park Ridge, Illinois, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025. He was 84 years old.
Beloved husband of Mari for 59 years; loving father of Sherri (Brian) Kappler and Scott (Kim) Herbert; proud grandfather of three grandchildren, Paige, Billy and Andie; and three step-grandchildren, Sammi, Jackson and Olivia.
Alvin was a CPA and partner with the accounting firm, CLA Oak Brook, IL. A celebration of life will be held at a future date in his hometown area of Chicago, IL.
