All tied up: Skaters enter big week

The Dragon hockey squad got a hat trick from Brad Berschbach on Thursday night, but had to settle for a 5-all tie against host Farmington Hills Unified.
The hosts came back from deficits of 4-2 and 5-4 in the third period to earn a point in the OAA I contest. Berschbach’s hat trick was matched by Farmington Hills? Andy Phillips.
Lake Orion got three assists from Matt Milliman and a goal and an assist each from Corbin Rainey and John Costigan.
The Dragons continued their recent trend of tie games on Saturday, skating to a 3-goal deadlock at Waterford Mott.
Lake Orion trailed 3-0 before getting goals from Scott Beringer and Berschbach in the second period and the equalizer from Costigan in the third.
The team is now 2-2-3 in OAA I action, with two key battles coming up against Farmington (8 p.m. on Thursday) and Clarkston (6 p.m. on Saturday). Both games will take place at the Detroit Skating Club.
