A simple running of a red light on M-24 and Drahner severly damaged two cars and backed up traffic during the morning commute last Tuesday.
A 62-year-old man from Oxford drove his van through a red light to make the turn south onto M-24 and hit a woman from Alabama as she was turning left onto W. Drahner. The woman’s airbag in her Dodge Stratus deployed as her front end was smashed. She only complained of minor injuries.
The driver of the van was not injured and received a citation for hazardous driving.
