‘It’s all about the health of our customers and us,? said Katheryn Johnson, village resident, who opened the salon in June.
‘We provide a healthy option for a variety of customers including the asthmatic or others that need to stay clear of the typical hair salon chemicals.?
Johnson, a graduate of Sharps Academy in Grand Blanc, owned and operated an area salon for the past 12 years and decided to provide an option for area customers.
‘Whether it’s water-based nail enamel or organic hair color’we provide the only all organic salon in the area.?
The new business hosted a grand opening along with the Brandon/Ortonville Chamber of Commerce.
In addition, Salon Bamboo provides henna tattooing, men’s haircuts, ion foot detox or ear candling by appointment.
