The Brandon-Oxford girls ski team had better luck against Saginaw Heritage Feb. 2 than their male counterparts.
The girls team earned a 26-46 win against Heritage, while the boys team dropped a 20-58 contest.
Karen Offer led the girls team in the slalom with a time of 56.15, followed by Grace Auchterlonie at 57.58 and Lauren Bayliss at 59.15.
Offer also set the pace in the giant slalom with a time of 52.21. Bayliss was next at 54.43, while Auchterlonie notched a 55.07.
Besides their loss to Heritage, the boys team also dropped a 38-42 contest to Grand Blanc. In the slalom, Tim Smith led the Brandon-Oxford team with a time of 52.23, while Ryan Hotchkiss was right behind at 52.33.
In the giant slalom, Smith finished at 52.89 and Hotchkiss at 54.41.
Brandon-Oxford now awaits regional competition Thursday, Feb. 12 at 9 a.m.
