Host Flint Hamady showed the visiting Martians why they’re one of the top teams in Class C.
On Jan. 24, the third-ranked Hawks soundly defeated the visiting Martians 68-42, marking their seventh win in eight tries against the Martians. Hamady improved to 8-0 on the season and 5-0 in the Genesee Area Conference Blue Division, while Goodrich fell to 5-4 overall and 3-2 in the GAC Red.
Joe Gilliard led the victorious Hawks with 19 points, while Michael Skinner led the Martians with 12 points. Kirk Elsworth grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Martians in that department.
Goodrich returns to action Tuesday, Feb. 3 when they host Genesee.
