There will be an open house beginning on July 27 to honor former Village of Lake Orion Manager Joe Young, village council President Ken Van Portfliet said during the council’s meeting Monday.
The open house begins at 3 p.m. at Lake Orion Village Hall, 21 E. Church St.
Young resigned June 24, citing health concerns in his resignation letter.
The Lake Orion Village Council voted 6-0 on March 13, 2017 to formally “extend an offer of employment” to Joseph Young, who had been the manager for the Village of Oxford since 2004. – J.N.
