John David Lagodna, age 63, passed away with his daughter by his side on February 15, 2021 in Griffin, Georgia.

John was born on February 4, 1958 in Detroit, MI, the son of Robert and Marian Lagodna.

John grew up in Lake Orion and graduated Lake Orion High School in 1976. He served in the United States Air Force from 1979 until he retired with honors (AF Commendation Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Joint Service Meritorious Service Medal) as a Technical Sergeant in 1995.

Mr. Lagodna was employed at Sears Holdings Corporation as a Systems Engineer/IT Coordinator for over 20 years. John loved traveling, especially to Disney World with his daughter, Kristine Lagodna; and Vegas trips with friends.

He also enjoyed golfing, cooking, billiards, softball, reading, bowling, boating, casino gaming, watching Michigan sports, jamming out to his favorite music and was a history enthusiast. He belonged to both the Sun City Peachtree Billiards Club and Sun City Peachtree Softball Club.

Mr. Lagodna is survived by his loving daughter, Kristine Lagodna; his sister, Leslie Valentine (Tim); and his sister-in-law, Pamela Lagodna (nee Semany).

He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Marian (nee Wiegand); and his brother, Ronald Lagodna.

No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled.
