Donna Pauline Brawner of Lake Orion went to be with the Lord on March 27, 2020.
She born July 30, 1920.
Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband, Zollie Alonzo Brawner.
She is survived by Janet Barley (David), William Brawner (Cindy) and Martha, her caregiver for the past 26 years; daughter-in-law Carol (Gregory); grandchildren, Adam, Sean, Blaize, Aaron and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Chris, Andy, Dan, Jake, Katie, Tess, Zollie, Uma, Lilea, Gregory, Truman and Guinevere; and great-great-grandchildren, Jordan, Eve and Willow. She is also survived by her dear friend Melissa.
Donna was preceded in death by her daughter Mary; son Gregory; brothers and sisters, Keith, Roberta, Harold, Carmen and Burnell.
Born in rural Marlette, Michigan to Alex and Lillian McAllister, she loved to ride the lone family horse to school as a young girl with her four siblings. The family moved to Pontiac, Michigan when she was 8 years old.
Donna graduated from Pontiac High School in 1938 and would later work as a Medical Record Librarian at the Pontiac State Hospital (Clinton Valley Center) for 37 years.
In 1953, she sailed the Atlantic to France with her four children, where her husband was stationed with the United States Army.
She was a lifelong member of Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church in Pontiac and she shared with all her belief in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
Donna enjoyed singing, and activities at the Lake Orion Senior Center, especially the crocheting and knitting group. Through the years she was proud to have made many blankets for her grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at Eastlawn Cemetery. Memorial services will be held in the future with dates and times to be announced.
