The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) is looking for a suspect who broke into the PX2 Automotive on April 7 and made off with a cash register.
Now, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Orion Twp. substation is asking for residents’ help in identifying the man.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at 1:58 a.m. Friday after a citizen discovered a cash register laying on the roadside in the Summer Avenue and Goldengate Street area, according to OSCO reports.
The deputies traced the cash register back to the PX2 Automotive in the 700 block of Lapeer Road, where they discovered a broken window at the rear of the business.
An OSCO Evidence Technician arrived at the business and processed the scene for trace evidence. A K-9 unit also responded and attempted to track the suspect.
This incident is under investigation and detectives are requesting tips from the public that will lead to the identity of the white male holding the pry bar after his hoodie falls down.
