NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Charter Township of Orion Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Orion Township Hall, 2525 Joslyn Road, Lake Orion, Michigan 48360, on the following matter:
A. AB-2016-20, Thomas O’Neil, Menard, Inc. Real Estate Representative, Brown Rd., Sidwell #09-32-400-062, 09-32-400-030, 09-32-400-084, 09-32-400-038, 09-32-400-083, 09-32-400-067, 09-32-400-074, 09-32-400-075
The petitioner is requesting five variances from Sign Ordinance No. 138, Section 8, Schedule B, GB-1:
1. A 2 ft. variance above the allowed 8 ft. ground sign height to install a 10ft. high ground sign.
2. A 140.96 sq. ft. variance above the allowed 32 sq. ft. sign area of a ground sign to install a 172.96 sq. ft. ground sign.
3. A 20 ft. variance from the required 30 ft. road right-of-way setback to install a ground sign 10 ft. from the road right-of-way.
4. A variance to allow 15 wall signs over the one allowed to install a total of 16 wall signs.
5. A 768.86 sq. ft. variance above the allowed 120 sq. ft. area of a wall sign to install a total of 888.86 sq. ft. of wall signage.
You may send correspondence regarding this case to the Orion Township Hall, addressed to the Zoning Board of Appeals, or you may attend the public hearing to express your views and/or concerns.
A complete copy of the proposed ZBA application is on file in the Planning & Zoning Department and may be examined during normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, until the date of the public hearing.
