PUBLIC NOTICE
SYNOPSIS OF ADOPTED ORDINANCE
ORDINANCE NO. 26.91 – WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS FACILITIES
At its Regular Meeting of April 11, 2016, the Lake Orion Village Council accepted for second reading and adopted Ordinance No. 26.91 an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance, amending Article 2, Definitions, by deleting and amending definitions, and Article 13, General Provisions, Use Provisions, by amending Section 13.25 to reflect the recent changes enacted by PA 143 of 2012.
The effects of the amendments (Ordinance 26.91) are as follows:
1. To amend Article 2 Definitions to delete the definitions of Attached Wireless Communications Facilities, Wireless Communications Support Structures and Colocation, and
2. To amend Article 13, General Provisions, Specific Use Provisions by amending Section 13.25 WIRELESS COMMUNICATION FACILIATIES, to reflect the recent changes enacted by PA 143 of 2012, MCLA 125.3514, as well as the 2012 Amendment to the Federal Telecommunications Act; to add definitions for terms used in that section; to specify the time frame for reviewing applications; to identify types of modifications to wireless facilities that are subject to administrative approval and those that are subject to special approval by the Planning Commission; to establish priority locations for new facilities; and other requirements.
This Ordinance is effective upon the publication of this synopsis. The complete text of the Ordinance is on file in the office of the Village Clerk located at 21 E.
