Honors for local businesses

When downtown business owner Kevin Harrison was asked to take the helm as president of the Chamber Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, he was surprised.
“I feel blessed to be on the board,” said Harrison, owner of KH Home on Main Street in Clarkston, at the chamber’s annual meeting, Sept. 26.
Chamber members gathered at Oakhurst Country Club for the luncheon, with awards and honors for the past year’s efforts.
Outgoing President Kelly LaFontaine placed bags of pop rocks candy with numbered guitar picks inside, and a lucky winner with the selected number was given a guitar signed by Kid Rock.
‘Everyone here is a rock star,” LaFontaine said.
Several community members were honored by the Chamber with awards, including Top 10 Chamber Champions: Ideas for You, The Learning Experience, C&L Ward, Genisys Credit Union, Rodan +Fields Dermatologists ?
