On Nov. 26 the Goodrich Class of 2014 dedicated a new flagpole to the high school.
‘The class decided to purchase a flagpole and its? installation to be put at the entrance of the new addition to the grounds,? said Lisa Jensen, who, along with Dawn Adams, are 2014 class sponsors and parents.
‘School secretary Betty Griffiths approached the sponsor with this idea and the class ran with it. The class president, Jacob Lawler, felt that the flagpole was the perfect parting gift from the 2014 class. This would be a gift that would last forever and make an impact everyday at the school.?
Funds for the project were collected through bottle drives, restaurant tip nights, and bake sales in addition to other fundraisers, added Jensen.
‘The 2014 class members worked very hard to raise the monies needed to make this all happen. Over the years, the students have conducted bottle drives, restaurant tip nights, bake sales and other fundraisers to make this special gift possible. Thank you Class of 2014 for all of your hard work.?
