Dragons outswim Cats

The Lady Cat swimmers took a hard 119-67 loss to the Lake Orion Dragons during their home dual meet on Oct. 17.
‘We had some good races and the girls had some good swims,? said Head Coach Jacquelyn Rank. ‘Most were season-best times or close to it.?
In the 200 Medley Relay: Oxford’s A Relay of Sydney Liverance, Elizabeth Wilkins, Bella Giannola, and Allison Miller took second’with a time of 2:09.05. 200 Freestyle: Abbie Fredericks came in second’place with a time of 2:20.15. Danielle Kemp finished in fith’place. 200 Individual Medley: Bella Giannola took fourth’with a time of 2:33.64. Sydney Liverance finished in fifth’place.
50 Freestyle: Haley Kornburger came in first’place with a time of 24.78. Taylor Curtis rounded out the top 5. Diving: Jaynee Butkiewicz finished in first’place with a score of 177.20. Elise Ormiston and Laura Schimmel came in second’and fourth’place respectively. 100 Butterfly: Bella Giannola took second’with a personal best time of 1:07.65. Marissa Johnson rounded out the top 5. 100 Freestyle: Haley Kornburger came in first’with a time of 54.08. Taylor Curtis finished in fourth place.
‘In the 500 Freestyle Relay: Melissa Skelton finished in third’place with a personal best time of 6:33.55 and Danielle Kemp and Kaitlyn Barber finished in fourth’and fifth’place respectively. 200 Freestyle Relay: Oxford’s A Relay of Allison Miller, Abbie Fredericks, Taylor Curtis, and Haley Kornburger came in second place with a time of 1:51.18. 100 Backstroke: Sydney Liverance took second’place with a time of 1:10.57. Allison Miller took fifth place. 100 Breaststroke: Elizabeth Wilkins came in third’place with a time of 1:21.42. Emily Hamilton finished in fifth’place with a personal best time. 400 Freestyle Relay: Oxford’s A Relay off Taylor Curtis, Abbie Fredericks, Bella Giannola, and Haley Kornburger came in second’with a time of 3:56.62.
The Cats take to the pool at OHS on Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. for OAA preliminaries.
