NHS fund-raiser big success thanks to Big Boy

Thanks to the Oxford Big Boy and the wonderful members of the community who dine there, Oxford High School’s National Honor Society (NHS) was able to raise $375 at the March 6 fund-raiser.
‘Lauren Krzisnik is our NHS treasurer and she 100 percent completely organized the event,? said NHS sponsor and OHS teacher Josh Budden. ‘She’s a senior at OHS and one of the greatest students I’ve ever worked with.?
NHS will use the money it raised to help support the Oxford community, sponsor special events at the high school like Challenge Day, help pay for graduation caps/gowns and Advanced Placement (AP) tests for Oxford students who need some financial aid and much more.
Big Boy donated 15 percent of the restaurant’s sales from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. as well as two delicious pies.
‘A lot of the businesses in town let organizations hold fund-raisers at their restaurants, (but) Big Boy has done this for us twice,? Budden said. ‘The people at Big Boy were incredibly nice and generous. I thought it was very successful.?
