The Lady Wildcats took a hard loss to Rochester Adams on the hardwood on Feb. 5 losing 43 to 34.
Adams scoring was led by Raiven Owusu with 19 points, while Jenny Rosonke contributed 11. Shelby Davis led Oxford with nine points.
‘Adams was able to shut down the normally balanced Oxford scoring attack and outscored the Wildcats in three of the four quarters,? said Team’s Stats Keeper Brian Murphy. ‘It looked like Oxford might mount a come back, outscoring Adams 13 – 7 in the third quarter. However Adams regained their composure and outscored the Wildcats 14-11 in the final frame.?
The Lady Wildcats were hoping to get back on the winning track Friday against Andover, but due to weather conditions and school closings, the game was cancelled.
Oxford whose record is now 13-3-0 on the season and 11-2-0 in the league faced off against Stoney Creek on Tuesday, read game highlights in next week’s edition.
