Orion’s lighted parade kicked off on Dec. 1 much to the delight of Orion residents and their youngins. The parade was bigger and better than ever, according to Bill Kokenos of the Orion Area Parade Group, with bands from all over Metro Detroit, tons of floats, representatives from across Orion and treats and goodies for anyone who visited the local businesses, some of which stayed open late to accommodate the event.
‘The parade group thanks everyone in the community for their support this year, and we’re looking forward to next year’s event,? said Kokenos.
Next year’s parade will be on Dec. 7.
