ROMEO – The Oxford volleyball team lost its first round match in district play last week against Lake Orion.
The Dragons won in straight sets, 25-15, 25-15, 25-16 to knock the lady Cats out of state competition.
Oxford’s leader, junior Darien Bandel, had 13 kills and 10 digs while senior Alyssa Wysocki had 10 digs.
Coach Kristi McDevitt’s Wildcats finished 34-18-7 and face a good future next season with a team that lost only three seniors this year.
