Hey there golfers, are you looking for a golf outing where you can donate money, swing your clubs and eat some good food?
Then check out the Choose Your Charity Golf Outing at Paint Creek Country Club on June 4.
‘It’s different than all the other golf outings because we’re going to have 18 different charities,? said Justin Comstock with charity group No Restrictions Golf. ‘They would be at the tee box, able to introduce themselves and introduce their cause.?
Comstock said all the money from the raffles and auctions will be distributed evenly amongst the charities.
‘The big thing is we want golfers,? he said. ‘One hundred forty-four golfers is the goal or 36 foursomes. If we can get close to that number we would be elated.?
The entry fee is $150, half of which will be donated to the charity or charities of your choice. Everybody gets a tax receipt as well, so they can write it off as donations on their taxes.
The event will include ‘Beat the chick? where golfers can try to outdrive CYC’s female golfer and earn a sleeve of ProV’s. Furthermore there will be the traditional Vegas hole, longest drive, closest to the pin, and a mystery hole, as well as, complimentary spike repair, open driving range, open beer cart and dinner bar, lunch at the turn, a dinner event, silent auction and premium raffle prizes.
‘We’re going to have big prizes,? added Comstock. ‘We’re giving away a 53-inch LED flat screen, a 32 GB i-Pad, $600 gift card to Best Buy and a Laptop.?
They are also introducing something new called ‘The Money Pit,? where every player gets two shots at putting their ball over $600 in 5’s, 10’s, 20’s, and 50’s to walk away a winner.
‘If people don’t want to golf but they like to do charitable stuff. They can come and join us for dinner for $35,? he said. ‘That’s an open bar and chicken marsala and sirloin beef tips.?
Some of the local charities involved are No Restrictions Golf, Sister Souls Inc, Love Inc, Sabrina’s Voice, and Hype Athletics.
CYC is still looking for more charities, sponsors, golfers and volunteers. Those interested can all Justin Comstock at 248-462-3207 or e-mail Justin@thesimpleworldofgolf.com or call Chad Toth 248-860-0424.
‘It’s just about giving back to charities to support their cause,? Comstock said. ‘It’s exciting.?
