In a spring break match-up with Clio on April 24, the Lake Orion High School varsity baseball team came up short in the first game, falling 15-7, but bouncing back to take the second game of the doubleheader, 8-1.
Jim Couretas led the Dragons to the win in the second game, pitching a three-hitter. Brent Skiba pitched for Lake Orion in the first game.
Couretas held Clio to one earned run and struck out five. Matt Ronin led the Dragons in hitting, going 6-for-8 with three doubles, two home runs and five RBI in the two games.
Lake Orion hosts Troy High School on April 30, and travels to West Bloomfield on Friday.
