Junior Heather Lafnear gutted out a 36th place finish during the state individual bowling tournament in Battle Creek on Saturday, March 5.
Despite bowling on a knee injury that caused her to miss 10 days of practice, Lafnear was able to put together games of 173, 159, 117, 179, 213, 175.
After the six games, she was only 74 pins from qualifing for the knockout rounds.
‘With the knee injury, she had virtually no practice for 10 days, and when you are bowling against the final 60 girls in the state, you’ve got to be at your best, and she was just not able to be sharp with being out so long,? head coach JR Lafnear said.
