Lake Orion’s experienced bowlers rolled right through Oxford’s varsity boys and girls teams in their match on Thursday, Jan. 13.
On the girls side, Lake Orion defeated Oxford 157-136 in game one of baker and 155-141 in game two.
Oxford was able to salvage a couple of points in head-to-head matches thanks to junior Colleen Walters and sophomore Caitlyn Wroblewski’s victories over their opponents in their two matches.

Junior Alex Logan’s strike in the seventh frame, senior Aylssa Hurtado’s strike in the eighth and junior Heather Lafnear’s two strikes in the tenth frame propelled the girls to a 159-141 win in the first baker game.
Walters and Lafnear stepped it up again in baker game two, throwing strikes in the final two frames to win 159-142.
They wrapped up the victory by winning four matches in the first game of head-to-head play. Winning points were Wroblewski, Logan, Walters and Lafnear.
