Oxford’s Varsity Soccer team came up short in a Oakland Activities Association crossover game against Clarkston on Thursday, Sept. 30.
The Wildcats were defeated 6-2 by the Wolves.
Junior goalie Ben Magdaleno kept Clarkston off the board early, making four saves before the Wolves got on track and scored three goals to end the first half.
Senior Matt Frish got the scoring started for Oxford when he chipped the ball over the goalie, who was playing 35 yards out of the crease, cutting the lead to 3-1.
Clarkston would convert a penalty kick and tack on two more goals before the end of the game.
Wildcat senior Tyler Bozigar scored the only other goal for Oxford.
With the loss, Oxford drops to 7-7-1 overall, and 2-6-1 in the OAA White.
