Fire department now flys POW-MIA flag

On Sunday, members of the Forgotten Eagles of Michigan Chapter 4 gathered at Groveland Township Fire Department station for the presentation of a MIA/POW flag.
Chris Hardenburgh, Groveland Township Firefighter/EMT and Sergeant at Arms for the Forgotten Eagles, said the purpose is to heighten awareness of MIA/POW. In addition, the Forgotten Eagles are advocates for the fullest possible accounting of all American POW/MIAs.
‘Any local business or organization that would like to have a flag we can help with that,? said Hardenburgh.
A Lake Orion High School graduate and Brandon resident, Hardenburgh was part of the Army 952 Quartermaster Division, responsible for forward refueling for tanks and helicopters. He served seven months in Iraq and was in the Army from 1997-2005.
