The Varsity Volleyball team continues to roll through the Flint Metro League competition, defeating Lapeer West and Flint Kearsley to improve to 3-0 in league play.
Lapeer West did something that no other FML team has been able to do against the Wildcats this season ? they took game one 28-26 and avoided being swept.
It was all Oxford after that. They rolled 25-13 in game two, 25-15 in game three and 25-22 in the final game.
Senior Marissa Manzella had 16 kills and nine digs, while Sophomore Kate Bailey tallied six kills and four blocks. Junior Paige Felisky was 20/22 setting and had 18 kill assists and six digs.
The Wildcats used a steady, strong and controlled play in the sweep of Kearsley on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
The Wildcats won 25-18, 25-18 and 25-22.
Manzella had 12 kills and eight digs, while setter Sara Nieboer had eight digs and nine assists.
Victoria LaFramboise had 12 digs in the win.
Head Coach Kristi McDevitt wants everyone to come out and support the Wildcats when they play Fenton on Thursday, Sept. 24.
‘This is a huge game for the Wildcats as Fenton is undefeated in the league as well,? she said.
