Netters lose fourth straight league contest

These are not the best of times for the Clarkston volleyball team in Oakland Activities Association Division I competition.
The Wolves fell to visiting Bloomfield Hills Lahser in three games, 8-15, 15-12, 9-15, in a Monday night contest. The loss was Clarkston’s fourth straight in OAA I action, and dropped their record to 16-14-1 overall and 4-6 in the league.
Ashley Hudson had 20 digs and nine kills, and was 15-for-15 serving. Stephanie Reitano led the Wolves with 24 digs and added eight kills, while Megan Gaines was 95-for-95 setting with 28 aces and 12-for-15 serving, adding 18 digs and five kills. Alex Heinrich was 12-for-13 serving with 15 digs and seven kills.
The Wolves dropped their match aginst host Troy Athens Thursday, Feb. 6 by an 8-15, 9-15 score.
Gaines was 44-for-44 serving with 12 aces and added seven digs and three kills. Sophomore Stephanie Parkin added seven digs and seven kills, while Hudson led the team in digs with eight and added four kills.
The Wolves host Farmington in an OAA I match Thursday beginning at 6 p.m., then compete in the Kiwanis Invitational Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
