Cagers still struggling, drop a game to Adams

The Lake Orion boys basketball squad continued its difficult season when it lost 57-22 against Rochester Adams on Feb. 12.
‘Adams played an excellent first half,? said Coach Lance Davis.
They had no turnovers and hit four 3-pointers.
Lake Orion, on the other hand, only got eight shots off.
‘It set the tone for the game,? Davis said. ‘It was a hole we could not climb out of.?
A few key players got into foul trouble early, according to Davis.
Todd Wolverton, who Davis said has been playing very well of late, was among one of the players.
In the third quarter, Adams came out and scored 14 point to Lake Orion’s 5.
‘We made the adjustment defensively. We had a cold night shooting the ball. We couldn’t rebound from that,? Davis said.
As far as the season is concerned, Davis said they are doing better than expected.
‘We haven’t had as many wins as we’d like. But we were picked to be last,? he said. ‘We are fifth in the league.?
The Dragons face Berkley High School in Lake Orion at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20.
