Seeley 10th fastest in girls CC history

Shannon Seeley has run right into Oxford School history.
Seeley, Oxford High School’s lone medal winner at the Oct. 10 Oxford Invitational in which she placed 17th with a run time of 21:01, ran a 20:55 time at Oxford’s dual meet against Brandon on Oct. 7. This run time makes Seeley the 10th-fastest runner in Oxford girls? cross country history.
Her 21:01 run time at the Oxford Hills Golf Course was only six seconds faster than her record time’impressive considering the 21:01 time came on two days? rest.
At the Oxford Invitational, the Oxford Boys placed 18th out of 20 teams while the girls placed 12th out of 17 teams.
‘I thought we ran pretty good with only two days? rest from our prior meet,? said Oxford Cross Country Head Coach Ray Sutherland. ‘Not bad at all against very tough competition. We worked pretty hard.?
Run times are as follows for the boys: Dylan Smith, 57th place, 18:27; Chase Tucker, 64, 18:34; Shane Kerbelis, 112, 19:27; Christian Brendel, 113, 19:31; Zack Kelly, 126, 20:16; Alec Smith, 128, 20:18; Brent Womble, 132, 20:38.
