Enjoying a little vino with the OAC

A glass of wine, beautiful weather and the company of good friends. That’s what attendees of the Orion Art Center’s Summer Wine Tasting found at the July 26th event.
According to Orion Art Center Director Reggie Harrison, over 120 wine enthusiasts attended the event that she deemed as one of the ‘Art Center’s best events to date.?
The wine tasting was held at the historic home of Bob and Candy Lytle. The event gave Bob the opportunity to show off the results of four years of hard work he completed on his 1929 home, Harrison said, noting Bob refers to it as his ‘little slice of heaven.?
‘Bob and Candy Lytle were such gracious hosts,? Harrison added. ‘They allowed attendees to casually tour the house at their leisure, which made everyone feel very comfortable.?
In addition to touring the home and enjoying some wine, guests sampled cuisine from Vanelli Express, Palazzo di Bocce, Victoria’s Delights, Harvest Time, Hollywood Market, Orion Keg and Wine, Sweet and Savory Bake Shop, Carla’s Fruit Market, Lucky’s and Kroger.
‘We were blessed with a perfect day and the food was fantastic, with specialities from many area restaurants,? said Char Follis, chairperson for the event.
Harrison also credited board member Sue Turpen for helping with the food displays and Lisa Bjork, Lisa Cummins and Andrea Ordakowski, who poured wine for the evening.
‘The Orion Art Center is grateful to everyone involved and especially Bob and Candy Lytle for opening their home for such an enchanting community event,? Harrison added.
