Both the township board and the village council renewed their Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Cooperation Agreement last month.
The federal government requires the county and its participating communities to renew the agreement every three years.
In recent years, the CDBG funding has helped programs like Orion Area Youth Assistance, which was awarded $15,000 from the township for 2008.
