Records were broken at last weekend’s Flower Fair and Home and Garden Marketplace on the downtown streets, in spite of some obstacles.
Downtown Development Authority Director Lois Golden said turnout was strong given some rotten weather and construction on the streets associated with the ongoing water main project.
‘Some vendors did record sales, especially on Saturday,? Golden said. ‘I think it was the best turnout we’ve had.?
She added that most of the big winds came through after closing time on Saturday night, and sporadic rain showers Sunday only amounted to a small nuisance.
