The Lake Orion softball squad won the Red Hawk Tournament Saturday by going 3-0 on the day.
They beat Eisenhower 8-2, Utica 5-3 and Troy Athens, in the championship game, 7-2. Megan Dyer won the first game on the mound and Danielle Dunn won the second two games on the mound for the Dragons.
Tina Wolverton, Jenny Kasper, Dunn and Tesa Tomlin made the All-Tournament Team. Kasper hit two home runs in the championship game for the Dragons.
The team split a doubleheader with Adams (a potential district opponent) on Friday. Dunn got the win in game one for the Dragons as the team got a Lauren Farrington home run and prevailed 6-1. Adams took the nightcap 7-4.
On Monday, the Dragons improved to 18-12 overall with a sweep of Stoney Creek. Kasper continued her hot hitting by knocking in three runs in both contests. Lake Orion won the first game 7-3 and the second 9-7.
