Independence Township Library is set for a facelift, with fresh paint, new carpet, and redesigned shelving.
Independence Township Board voted unanimously Feb. 5 to contract with Library Design Associates. They will be paid up to $12,500 from the township’s fund balance for a redesign of the library.
Three design companies were considered. The final design will be presented to the board for further approval, said Julie Meredith, library director.
