Two men are being held in the Oakland County Jail after committing larcenies in Oxford Township.
Myles Rodney Herritt, 19, of Waterford and Matthew Brandon Winters, 21, of Metamora were arraigned Monday at the county’s circuit court in Pontiac on charges of larceny from an automobile (LFA).
Herritt was charged with two counts of LFA, stemming from a Jan. 18 incident on Quail Ridge where he allegedly stole $20 in bills and change from a vehicle, and for allegedly entering an unlocked vehicle on Red Barn Dr. earlier that same day, though nothing was stolen from the vehicle.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to the incident on Quail Ridge and proceeded to try to find the pair after the they ran away from the scene.
Herritt was found hiding on the ground near Drahner and Glaspie, and Winters was found hiding at an acquaintance’s house on Wyndham Dr.
Winters was only charged with one count after allegedly helping Herritt with the vehicle on Quail Ridge.
Herritt is being held on a $3,000 bond, while Winters has a $2,000 bond.
