Travel the world at the library

Reading is always a way for one to escape to another time, world and person’s mind.
That’s why the Oxford Public Library has the theme of Armchair Travel for their 7th Annual Adult Winter Reading Program.
Just pick up your Reading Passport and suggested reading list and you’ll be ready to go.
Here are some books you may want to check out on your travels to different regions:
n Africa and the Middle East ? The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, The Poisonwood Bible, Saturday Morning Murder
n Austrailia ? The True History of the Kelly Gang, Rabbit-Proof Fence, Pobby and Dingan
n Europe ? Cooking Italian, Meet Me in Venice, Vivaldi’s Virgins, Big Stone Gap
n Southern U.S. ? What You Have Left, The Garden Angel, Queen of Broken Hearts
Read at least five books and list them in your passport to be entered into the prize drawing. You could win LL Bean travel accessories, including organizers, a touring bag lunch tote and an adventure kit bag stocked with international food items.
Turn in your passport anytime before 2 p.m. on Friday, March 7 to qualify for the drawing.
A complete list of suggested readings can be picked up at the adult reference desk.
